How does the ranking work in KS2?

Matchmaking Rating – is a hidden value that affects your rank increase and determines the level of the opponents you face during the game. MMR takes into account the performance of players in matches. The better your game, the higher your ranking. Ranks in KS2 directly depend on this.

Counter-Strike 2 now has 2 ratings – Competitive and Premier mode (the most status). The updated version of the game still uses the old ranking system, but only in competitive mode. It is quite possible that in the future it will be removed altogether.

To get the initial rating in the game you will need to win 10 matches. The developers decided that simply playing well wasn't enough to accomplish this goal, and made it a little more difficult. Ranking levels range from 0 to 40000 (plus elo) and are based on the number of wins and losses. After you complete 10 matches, your ranking will change dynamically. Each victory will bring points, defeat – take away.

Every 5000 rating in KS2 is indicated by a certain color, and also determines the category of the player. There are a total of 7 such colors:

  1. level to 4999 – gray;

  2. 5000 to 9999 – blue;

  3. 10000 to 14999 – blue;

  4. 15000 to 19999 – purple;

  5. 20000 to 24999 – pink;

  6. 25000 to 29999 – red;

  7. 30000 and above – gold.
