Virtus.pro has recruited a new youth squad

Russian team Virtus.pro has announced the addition of five new players to its VP.Prodigy youth roster. In January, the project was put on pause because it was not performing well. The leader of the team will be former SG.pro member Alexey «RuFire» Burakov. In a text published on the Virtus.pro website, he praised the prospects of the new roster. RuFire noted that they didn't just want to pick players with good skills, but they wanted to find players who wouldn't clash and could get along well with each other. There is a good rapport between the players of the current roster and they understand what the main goals of the team are.

Virtus.pro created a team for young players in September 2020. At that time it included three Russian and two Ukrainian cybersportsmen, and its head was Vadim «h1glaiN» Tanasyuk. In such a lineup it performed at several international competitions, but later this lineup was disbanded, and coach Vyacheslav «Flash_1» Bykov was instructed to gather new players.

Team manager Mikhail Artemyev noted that creating a youth roster – is always a certain risk, because it is not enough to simply find talented and enthusiastic players – need to select those who can interact well with other team members and will have a sense of the team. He expects that being a part of VP.Prodigy will help players who are just starting their professional careers reach the next level.
