Valve has fixed game performance issues caused by a previous update

On July 13, Valve released a minor update that should fix performance issues seen when enabling «Trusted Mode». This game launch mode was added in the previous update released a few days ago. Its main purpose – was to limit the ability of third-party applications to interact with CS:GO in order to make life even harder for cheaters.

However, immediately after the release of the update, Reddit and Twitter began to see posts complaining about performance degradation. Some have noted a rather noticeable drop in FPS. Soon, a post appeared on the developers' blog stating that the problem has been noticed and will be fixed. The post claims that the problem was caused by the game's interaction with third-party programs that repeatedly tried to interfere with CS:GO's own files. The problems in these apps have probably been fixed as well.

However, the introduction of a new way to fight cheaters may mean bad news for streamers as well. It is highly likely that restrictions on running third-party applications that interact with the game will interfere with the software used during broadcasts. Players are hopeful that such issues, if any, will be fixed in future updates.
