On the night of August 7, Valve released another update for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. It has a new briefcase, and several maps have been improved. The case, named «Fracture», contains skins created by artists from the community. Each player who buys a case can, with luck, become the owner of a rare item – knife «Split Net» one of four types – Paracord, Survival, Nomad and Skeleton.
In addition, the update includes minor improvements and fixes for the maps Anubis, Mutiny and Swamp. Performance has been improved on Mutiny. On Swamp, the brightness of certain areas and water texture has been fixed, and FPS has become more stable. The Anubis map had the most adjustments. This included fixing a bug that could cause weapons to fall through stairs, as well as corrections to the B-Plant area.
Some fixes affected the game as a whole. Network protocols have been improved. Also, the game cannot now be run in «untrusted mode», which was added in one of the previous patches. Now «trusted mode» («trusted mode») is the only option available.
At the start of sales «The Fracture Case» cost $20, but soon dropped to $10, and is currently hovering near that number.
