Duncan «Thorin» Shields will become a consultant to British cybersports organization Guild and help it put together a CS: GO lineup. This is what he recently revealed on his Twitter feed. According to the analyst, he will help Guild develop a model on which to base the team, as well as handle player and staff recruitment. His task – is to form a team that will be able to prove itself on the modern professional scene.
Thorin also noted that cyber sports have recently begun to resemble traditional sports in structure. Therefore, it is not surprising that the methods of work – are also borrowed, in particular, the management of teams begins to use the services of analysts and consultants who are well aware of the capabilities of various players and the current situation.
The Guild cybersports organization is known primarily for its connection with David Beckham. It currently includes teams that compete in Rocket League, FIFA, and Valorant. Interestingly, the latter features a Swedish team for Guild, with William «draken» Sundin, who previously played for fnatic and NiP.
