In many cases developers Steam select stickers for sticker packs that not only look interesting, but also contain some interesting additional meanings or jokes. The Espionage capsule that was added with the recent update is no exception: it has several stickers at once, which can only be fully appreciated if you erase part of the image. These are the stickers that players paid attention to first.
Trick writing
The word «salty»written on this sticker has a figurative meaning – as does «toxic», which refers to toxic players. If you scratch the holographic sticker a few times, the salt shaker will become empty and the word Not will appear on it, so the sticker will turn into «Not Salty». So players can choose which message about themselves they want to show to others.
A similar metamorphosis happens with a sticker that says «Not a Bot» («I am not a bot»). As you can probably guess, if you erase the top layer, it turns into «I’m a Bot» - quite a shame, considering that the bots in CS:GO are not very smart.
Reminders for players
And the sticker Knife’s Edge refers to one of the typical game situations. Trying to kill an opponent with a knife – is always a risk that can backfire on the player. The goblin depicted on the sticker is in such a position: on the new sticker he balances the knife on the tip of his finger, but if the picture is rubbed off, the knife disappears and the goblin loses his luxurious crown.
Another sticker – 360 no scope is also worth mentioning, reminding about the trick that only the best players can do. If the sticker is rubbed off, only the number 360 remains of the sniper picture, but that's enough for a real connoisseur of the game.
Some stickers are interesting simply because of the way the picture changes. For example, a sticker called Zap Cat depicts a gray cat with lightning bolts flying out of its eyes. If the sticker is rubbed, it disappears almost completely, but unlike the Cheshire Cat, it leaves not only a smile but also lightning bolts. Perhaps it is the erased version of this skin that will look good on guns whose design is based on the theme of lightning or electricity. Try it yourself – successful combinations here, as well as with other stickers from the capsule, you can come up with quite a few.
