S0tF1k will return to Spirit as an assistant coach

Spirit management announced Saturday that Dmitry «S0rF1k» Forostyanko will serve as an assistant to head coach Nikolai «Certus» Polyanov. Thus, the cyber athlete will return to the squad, in which he appeared as a player between 2016 and 2019.

During his participation in Spirit, S0rF1k appeared several times at major competitions, including the majors in London (2018) and Katowice (2019). He left the team in September 2019 when Spirit signed Boris «magixx» Vorobyov and Nikolay «mir» Bitiukov, and decided to join Espada. However, in January 2021, this cybersports organization disbanded the CS: GO roster. Only Abdul «degster» Gazanov and Robert «Patsi» Isyanov – remained in it, but eventually both of these players moved to Spirit.

In his statement, S0F1k said that he thought about starting a coaching career a year and a half ago, when he was replaced in the Spirit, but his intentions were not serious at that time. However, after Espada disbanded, he received an offer to become Certus' assistant and decided it would be interesting to try something new. Right now the average age of Spirit players is 22.2 years old, so twenty-six-year-old Dmytro Forostyanko will be able to bring the experience the team needs.
