On the eve of ESL Pro League Season 13, Australian team Renegades gave an interview to HLTV in which they talked about recent roster changes and their time in Europe. The Renegades have been playing almost exclusively in their region for the past year, but last month the team temporarily relocated to Europe to prepare for their participation in the ESL Pro League. Its first appearance at a world-level tournament in a long time was at IEM Katowice, but it could not be called successful: the Australians were able to defeat only TeamOne and dropped out of the competition, having suffered defeats from mousesports and Virtus.pro.
Now the team is in Malta and training before the next important event. Players have not yet divulged details about how they will be distributed in the new lineup, probably to take the psychological burden off the new in-game leader. One of the players, Liam «malta» Schembri formulated the immediate objectives as follows: the main goal of the Renegades at ESL Pro League Season 13 – to get out of the group, as this will allow them to stay in Europe for a while longer and continue training. After dominating their region for a long time, players are eager to reach the next level and develop the skills needed to compete with the world's best teams. Players will therefore be keen to use their time in Europe to gain as much practical experience as possible.
