The Renegades won the EPIC League's Oceania regional tournament

Australia's Renegades won the EPIC League Oceania 2021 tournament by winning the final match against ORDER. Thus, Renegades remain the ranking leaders in their region and have a good chance to qualify for the PGL Stockholm Major, which will be held in October. To do so, they will need to perform well in at least one more regional ranking tournament.

ORDER approached the grand finals with a good chance of winning: since February, the team has not suffered a single loss in official matches, winning 23 in a row.  It had also defeated Renegades at the previous EPIC League Oceania 2021 stage, but the players were unable to repeat that achievement again. ORDER lost by a score of 2 – 0, although the fight was really hard fought on both maps, with the Renegades only gaining the upper hand by small margins in extra rounds  (19 – 17 on Inferno and 19 – 16 on Dust2).

Joshua «INS» Potter was the biggest contributor to the Renegades' victory. The twenty-two-year-old achieved a 1.21 rating on ten cards in this tournament. He also took on the role of in-game leader – this role on the team had been vacant since the departure of Christopher «dexter» Nong to mousesports.
