The Renegades were victorious at DreamHack Masters Oceania

On June 7, the Australian team Renegades won the DreamHack Masters Oceania tournament. The final, in which they met the AVANT team, consisted of five matches. Thanks to the Renegades' undefeated run through the previous rounds, they started the final game with a one-map advantage, but they didn't win easily: it took all four remaining maps to defeat their rivals for the first place with a score of 3:2.

Already on the first map, Dust2, AVANT showed that they were not going to give up the victory easily. After a long struggle, in which one team or the other had the advantage, the card was won by AVANT with a score of 16:13. Then, at Nuke, AVANT's advantage became even more overwhelming. From the start, they kept their opponent on their toes and eventually won 16-9. This left the Renegades with only a point for wins in previous matches. However, the team managed to pull together and regain the lead first on Mirage (16:10) and then on Inferno (16:11).

As a result, the Renegades won first place with $10,000 in prize money and 185 ranking points. They are followed by AVANT and ORDER with $5,000 and $3,000, respectively.
