Polish team Anonymo defeated Sweden's NIP at Flashpoint 3, sending the latter to the bottom set of the tournament. Thus, the debut of the new NIP lineup, which was recently joined by Nicolas «device» Ridtz from Astralis, was unsuccessful. In addition, the match was associated with a number of technical problems.
After its completion, the NIP manager stated that the Swedish side experienced significant packet loss, which made it literally impossible to play at times «». At the very beginning of the match (the start of which was delayed by about an hour), device published a post on his Twitter account in which he mentioned that the team would have to play «in the face of 30-40% packet loss». Already after the game ended, the player supplemented his post by mentioning that the situation did not improve with time. In particular, he noted that «he could not move», left one-on-one with a player on the opposing team. Fredrik «REZ» Sterner also complained that the poor quality of the connection prevented him from playing.
Regardless of the exact cause of the failure, NIP will now have to fight for the next stage in the lower set of the tournament. To continue on her path to victory, she will need to beat the winner of the FunPlus Phoenix – HYENAS pairing, which will be determined shortly.
