Update «Fallen Crown», which went live in Dota2 on April 19 – is a new format event, larger than the events that have happened in the game before. The developers promise that it will be the first act in a long story, which will be revealed gradually.

The update adds many ways to make the game more beautiful and diverse – from unique accessories for heroes to smiley faces for chat.Regardless of what kind of heroes a player prefers, he will definitely like something among the novelties «of the Fallen Crown» . Some of the items can be obtained during the game, but to unlock the entire set of quests with their rewards, you will need to pay 1400 rubles. The reward system is set up like this:
In the first act of the event, players have access to two treasure troves, from which they can get more than 20 new sets in total.
Candy, which can be obtained by moving around the event map, can also be exchanged for kits, warlocks and other objects.
Event coins can be earned for exploring the map, which can then be exchanged for discounts in the store. (The exact size of the discount depends on the region).
Two heroes who became the key characters of the event (Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit) received new arcana.
Conveniently, you can use the coin discount mentioned above to buy them. The arcana have alternate styles that can be accessed after the fourth act.
With that said, only the first act of the event is currently available. There will be four in total, with the next one announced for mid-May, with dates for the others yet to be announced.
The displeasure of some players was caused by the fact that in this update the developers focused on cosmetic changes without making any balance changes. Also, contrary to expectations, a new hero did not come out either. It was announced for 2024 with no specific date, but many have been waiting for it now. We can only hope that players will receive not only cosmetic but also gameplay updates in the next releases.
