BLAST organizers responded to the claims of the Professional Players Association

On Tuesday, the Counter Strike Professional Association  (CSPAA) released a statement accusing the organizers of the BLAST tournament of violating the principles of openness. The day before, players refused to give BLAST access to audio and video recordings made during the game, citing concerns about the security of personal data. It took some time to resolve the issues, which delayed the start of the match between Vitality and mousesports for almost three hours.

The conflict was resolved, but in response, fourteen cybersport organizations issued a joint statement accusing the Association of violating the established procedure. In their opinion, the CSPAA has reopened a problem that was settled before: a satisfactory procedure for handling voice communication recordings and screen video was  established before the championship even began.

According to HLTV, the owner of one of the teams, on condition of anonymity, said that in fact the Association seeks to turn players and organizers against each other. Instead of using mechanisms that are already established, it tries to create its own and thus increase its own benefit. CSPAA officials have so far left the statement without comment.
