CBS Elite League Season 1 playoff participants have been determined

The CBS Elite League Season 1 Championship, the first ranking tournament of 2021 in South America, has reached the playoff stage. Earlier, the group stage was linked to several scandals: five of the sixteen teams were forced to leave the competition because some of their participants were linked to old accounts that had once been VAC-banned. When it was reported that these players were under investigation, teams such as Isurus, DETONA, Bears, Jaguares and Keyd decided to withdraw from the tournament.

As a result, the Sharks and Bravos were the group stage leaders and advanced to the playoffs with three wins each. In addition, Brazilian team MIBR, which had suffered a lot of setbacks in recent months, managed to recover from their loss to Sharks and eventually also earned a place in the final stage of the tournament by defeating three other Brazilian teams. Finally, in the last round of group matches, Havan Liberty, Meta, and INTZ made it to the finals. Thus, of the eight teams that made it to the next stage, there were seven teams from Brazil and one – from Argentina.

The playoffs of the CBS Elite League Season will begin on May 13. Teams will battle it out for ranking points and a prize pool of $18,200.
