The organizers of the Nordic Masters Spring tournament have released the final list of participants and match schedule. The competition will take place between March 26 and 28. Eight teams will compete for a $25,000 prize and a spot on the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. The participants have been divided into two groups that will compete in GSL format, with the first few matches taking place on one map and the next – on three. A total of four teams will qualify for the playoffs.
The leader of Group A is the Finnish team HAVU. It has the highest world ranking of all participants and has recently strengthened its roster with former ENCE players Jani «Aerial» Jussila and Sami «xseveN» Laasanen. Also playing in the first group will be GODSENT, 777 and Galaxy Racer. In Group B, ENCE, who just recently secured their place in the ESL Pro League playoffs, and MAD Lions, who have recently recruited a new roster, have a good chance of winning. Their opponents will be the Danish team Singularity, who qualified for the tournament by winning the open qualification matches, and the Swedish Dignitas.
The group stage will take two days – group A matches will take place on Friday, and on Saturday – group B matches will take place. The semifinals and final will already take place on Sunday.
