Relog Media has released information on the dates and conditions for the second season of the Pinnacle Cup tournament. It will be held in June-July 2021 and the total prize pool will be $100,000. The format will remain the same as in Pinnacle Cup I: first there will be a qualifying group tournament, then a stage of Swiss-style matches, after which the best teams will qualify for the playoffs. In addition, there will be guest teams appearing in each stage. The winner will receive a significant portion of the prize pool – $80,000.
Several youth squads including Young Ninjas, NAVI Junior and Spirit Academy will be among the teams receiving invitations to the group stage. The top four of the sixteen competitors will go on to face off against twelve more invited teams such as ENCE and Fiend in the next stage. Finally, the eight winners will advance to the playoffs, where they will be joined by four more teams invited directly to the quarterfinals.
The group round of Pinnacle Cup II will take place on June 28-29, while the Swiss system stage will take place in the first weeks of July. Finally, the playoffs will begin July 14-16. Most of the invited teams are already known, with a few more participants to be announced soon.
