BLAST tournament organizers have revealed how the qualifiers for the spring Showdown tournament will go. They reported how two of the four seats for the upcoming championship that are still vacant will be filled. They will be taken by the winners of the regional trials in Northern Europe and the CIS. How the participants for the remaining two places will be selected will be announced at a later date.
Teams from Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway will take part in the Northern European selection phase, which will take place at the beginning of May. These will be four invited competitors, including ENCE and North, as well as the winners of the national level qualifiers. According to a similar scheme will be formed and the composition of the stage, which will be held in Moscow on May 28-31. Five of the eight spots will be filled by invited entrants.
The BLAST Spring 2020 Showdown tournament itself will be held in early June. It will feature the winners of the qualifiers discussed above and the teams that were outsiders in the group tournament.
The finalists of the Showdown tournament will qualify for the BLAST Spring 2020 Finals. Its participants, in turn, will be able to fight for a place at BLAST Premier 2020, which will be held in the summer in Moscow, and then for the main goal of this series of games – ticket to the BLAST Global Final with a prize fund of 1.5 million dollars.
