June 4 update - reworking the prime system

On June 4, Valve released another update for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The main innovation of this patch was the changes to how the prime system is organized. Now players who don't have prime status can't get it during the game, whereas before they could expect to get it upon reaching a certain level. At the same time, those who do not have prime status will not be able to earn medals «For Service», ranks and other game awards.

In connection with these changes, there is a new format of matchmaking without ranks. It replaced the «Scramble mode», which was removed from the game. The modes available in this format are «Competitive», «Partners» and «Forbidden Zone». Those players with prime status can choose which type of matchmaking to use, while everyone else can only play without ranks. Team selection will be based on skill, but players with and without prime can be in the same match.

In addition, several changes and edits have been made in the patch. In particular, several Vscript features have been added and import capabilities in Workbench have been improved. Now those who want to create their own skins can import .tga files.
