On the night of June 11, Valve released a new patch for CS: GO, which brought several important updates at once. One of the major innovations was the change in the location of the gate flaps on the Dust 2 map. The gap between them now faces the other way, allowing «counter-terrorists» to control the tunnel exit from outside the site. This is a change that many players have been asking for a long time. The game play in Dust 2 will now be more dynamic.
Another major update is a fix for the player visibility issue. There is now an option in the settings «Boost Player Contrast». When you turn it on, a special filter is activated, thanks to which the players' figures will stand out better against the background of other objects. Also, some character textures have been adjusted for this purpose, and maps have received cosmetic improvements. In particular, fixes to improve visibility appeared on the maps Mirage, Overpass and Inferno.
In addition, other minor bugs were fixed. The full list of updates includes adjustments that affect all current maps. Improved lighting, removed interfering objects in some places, replaced some textures to improve performance.
