Ahead of February 29, Valve has given Counter-Strike 2 players a powerful update. With an impressive 1.6GB, the new patch brings with it a wave of improvements and fixes, as revealed on the game's official blog on Steam.
What's New?
1. Map updates: Anubis, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, and Vertigo have gotten a fresh look.
2. Revival Points: They are now stable and predictable from the start of the map, thanks to a new sequence saved in the backup files.
3. Bug fixes: Goodbye, black screen after several reconnections during technical timeout; incorrect interaction with bot revival algorithm after reconnection; problems with music and unintentional kills in "Fight to the death mode".
4. Graphics and performance: Improved smoke shadow rendering and overall game performance.
5. Stability and compatibility: Fixed crash bug on Linux and improved stability when compiling shaders.
6. Music tracks: NIGHTMODE is now even better tuned.
7. Gameplay: The logic of tracking player inactivity state has been refined, chickens no longer interfere with the game, and naughty players will be banned for excessive suicides.
8. Workshop and localization: Updates tools and localization files to improve the game experience.
