In the EPIC League CIS playoff match Natus Vincere team, which is currently ranked second in the world, suffered an unexpected defeat from the Ukrainian Akuma, previously considered the outsider of the tournament. In the world ranking it is only in 47th place.
The result of the match can be called crushing for NAVI: on the first map Mirage they lost with the score 2 – 16, and then could not win on Dust2, losing 10 - 16. A significant contributor to Akuma's result was Dmitry «SENSEi» Shvorak, who showed a rating of 1.49 on these two maps. The game on Mirage became for Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev the worst result in his career – his rating on this map was only 0,20. Commenting on the result of the match, one of the Akuma players noted that they «didn't really prepare» for the game against a serious opponent. He also mentioned that at Mirage, NAVI members made a lot of blunders, such as losing duels when they had every chance to win them.
Nevertheless, Natus Vincere are not out of the competition yet, and they still have a chance to restore their reputation. The team gets into the lower net of the tournament, and on Wednesday night it will have a match with forZe – the winner of this confrontation will be able to continue the fight for the main prize.
