The main topic of discussion after the IEM Katowice tournament was the victory of the Natus Vincere team, and quite deservedly so. NAVI not only won convincingly, but also showed one of their best performances in recent years, defeating difficult opponents both in the group stage of selection and in the playoffs - and the victory over the Danish team Astralis can be called simply humiliating for the opponents. Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev and Denis «electronic» Sharipov showed a particularly impressive level. And in the match with the already mentioned Astralis Egor «flamie» Vasiliev realized an eis, which will be remembered by the audience for a long time.
Last year was less successful for NAVI: against the background of the fact that two players left the team, they managed to get only one trophy. Despite these challenges, the team showed enough success to stay in the top 10. Now the team has managed to reach a new level largely due to the fact that its players began to demonstrate not only high individual skill, but also perfect teamwork. This is largely due to the new coach of the team, Andrei «B1ad3» Gorodensky.
After the tournament, Natus Vincere moved up to second place in the HLTV rankings, and only four points separate them from Astralis. NAVI will soon have to prove their level at the ESL Pro League tournament.
