Team Natus Vincere secured their entry into the EPIC League CIS playoffs with a 2 – 0 victory over Gambit. The confrontation between the two teams at the top of the world rankings attracted a lot of attention. Their last meeting, which took place in the DreamHack Masters Spring Grand Finals, ended in a NAVI victory. This time the team of Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev managed first to win Dust2 in a hard fight, and then to achieve a confident superiority on Train. This result guaranteed Natus Vincere a playoff spot, as the team had three wins and only one loss. For Gambit, the situation remains uncertain: the team's fate will depend on how it performs in the last stage of the group tournament.
At Dust2, Gambit players managed to put pressure on their opponents for some time, starting the match with victories in several rounds in a row. Only by the time the sides changed sides did NAVI manage to retake control and gain the upper hand. After leaving the first map, on the second map Natus Vincere players felt more confident and at some point achieved an overwhelming advantage, leading with a score of 13 – 2. Although Gambit managed to win back a few rounds, in the end they were unable to do anything against NAVI.
