ESL Impact Valencia – one of the biggest events for women's CS: GO teams kicked off on July 1. Over the course of three days, eight teams will compete for a prize pool totaling $100,000.
The competition will start with the group stage, which will be played according to the GSL scheme. The opening matches will be played in a best-of-1 format, while the deciding and elimination matches – will be played in a best-of-3 system. Based on the results of the group stage, four teams will advance to the next stage, with the grand finals taking place on Sunday, July 3.
Another significant tournament among women's teams was recently held at IEM Dallas. Then the list of winners was headed by Russian Nigma Galaxy, the second place went to Brazilian FURIA fe, and the third-fourth place was shared by Portuguese BIG EQUIPA and American CLG Red. ESL Impact Valencia will feature the same teams, Australia's Mindfreak, who also participated in IEM Dallas, as well as three new teams – NAVI Javelins, MIBR fe and GODSENT fe.
Some of the most notable players to watch out for are – Ana «ANa» Dumbrava and Ksenia «vilga» Kluenkova of Nigma Galaxy, who posted ratings of 1.36 and 1.24 respectively in Dallas. Nor is Olga «Olga» Rodriguez of FURIA fe.
