The organizers of the IEM Dallas tournament have announced that Heroic will not be able to attend the event and MIBR will perform instead. The replacement a few days before the tournament is explained by the fact that after the end of PGL Major Antwerp the Danish team had «difficulties related to the coronavirus», because of which it was unable to travel abroad.
The first candidate to replace Heroic was Spirit, who took 3-4th place at the major, but its members did not have time to issue visas, so the team had to decline the invitation. Thus. MIBR had a chance to rebuild its reputation after dropping out of the majors on the Challengers stage. Then adjusted the lineup, replacing Adriano «WOOD7» Serato with Breno «brnz4n» Poletto, while Marcelo «chelo» Cespedes took over as ingame leader.
This is not the first problem of this kind faced by the organizers of IEM Dallas. The tournament is set to be the first large-scale event in North America since the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier it became known that Natus Vincere and Entropiq will not appear at the event due to visa problems ENCE had to replace one of the players for the same reason, and NIP was left without ingame leader Hampus «hampus» Poser due to his illness.
