Martin "trace" Heldt to become Astralis head coach on a permanent basis

The Astralis announced that Martin «trace» Heldt will remain its head coach beyond the majors. He took over the position on a temporary basis during the qualifiers, and thanks in large part to his efforts, the team was able to noticeably improve its performance.

In March, Alexander «ave» Holdt had to resign from his position as head coach of the Danish team because he was banned from participating in Valve-organized tournaments as punishment for using «the»coaching bug. He first began working with the Astralis youth lineup, but soon left that position. Andreas «MODDII» Frid, a Swedish cybersports player who has been working with Danish teams for most of his career, will now become the head coach of Astralis Talent.

Commenting on the decision to permanently cooperate with trace, Astralis manager Kasper Hvidt noted the positive impact of the new coach on the team: this year the Danes managed to qualify for the majors and had a successful performance at the BLAST Showdown, losing to ENCE in the grand finals. Trace himself also appreciated the opportunity to continue the cooperation: «When you work with such talented players as Astralis members, the most important thing is to create an optimal environment for them, so that they can use all their resources to show results in the game… We may not always win, but we do our best to make it possible».
