Mad Lions will refuse to cooperate with keen

Spanish cybersport organization MAD Lions has announced that Latvian player Kristers «keen» Darzneks will leave its roster. The team management noted that the player was listed on probation and the team will now look for his replacement. Christers was expected to serve as the MAD Lions' in-game leader.

The team formed a new roster about two weeks ago, in late March. He managed to compete in two events – Nordic Masters Spring 2021 and the Funspark ULTI 2021 European Regional Tournament with average results. In both cases, the team was limited to one win and two losses.

Now MAD Lions coach Jakub «kuben» Gurczynski plans to find a more experienced player to fill the role of an in-game leader who can lead a roster where the average age of the other members is around twenty years old. Based on the official statement released by the MAD Lions, it can be assumed that it was a lack of leadership skills that caused Christer's departure: «Unfortunately, the level of leadership skills we need is difficult to develop in such a short time, so we will be looking for another in-game leader. We are convinced that keen has a lot to offer us, but now we need a player with a different profile».
