Ladislav "Guardian" Kovacs will lead the new Sampi lineup

Slovakian cybersport organization Sampi announced the creation of a new roster for CS: GO, the leader of which will be Ladislav «Guardian» Kovacs, who in the past played for FaZe and NAVI. The team will also feature four young players who have made their mark in the FACEIT Pro League and played for teams such as Enterprise and eSuba.

Guardian, a six-time Top 20 Player of the Year in 2021, has played for Singularity and Trident, but has not had much success with either team. Now he returns to the Slovakian team for the first time in ten years with the intention of becoming one of the best snipers in the world again despite his age.

One of the team members will be Matuš «MATYS» Šimko, who moved from Enterprise and is considered one of the most promising players on the local scene. The duties of in-game leader will most likely go to Andrei «ADEJUS» Kmenishtiak, who also played for Enterprise, but was sent to the reserves in February.

The roster will also include former eSuba project member Lukasz «sAvana1» Lintner and little-known cyber athlete Michal «T4gg3D» Vrzal, who was selected on the basis of his high performance in the FPL and has significantly improved his individual level recently.
