Chinese CSGO ProHouse Wuxi Villa Cup will be held in LAN-format

The Chinese teams plan to be among the first to return to the familiar format of LAN matches, which had to be abandoned in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although Chinese authorities have banned major sporting events until the end of the year until the end of 2020, this does not seem to apply to smaller domestic competitions. CS:GO_ProHouse Wuxi Villa Cup is to be held in early August, and it has already been announced that the tournament will be held in LAN format.

The tournament will be organized by Vision Esports. It will feature 6 teams with only cyber athletes from mainland China. Invited teams included TYLOO, Let’s Quit and Invictus. Three more spots will be played at the qualifying matches. Open qualification will be held July 21-22, and the closed portion of the selection process – July 23-30. The final matches are scheduled for Aug. 4-9. Teams that make it to the final stage of the tournament will win about $29,000 in prize money, of which $17,200 will go to the first-place team.

Since March, HLTV has broadcast just two LAN games – Doritos Open in Stockholm and 1XeSport Challenge in Bangkok.
