If you have already collected a certain number of skins on your account and are now planning to sell them, you may want to estimate the value of your inventory before looking for deals on specific skins on different marketplaces. The total value of your inventory – is not only a figure that you can brag about to other players, but also a useful indicator that helps you estimate how much you can get for your items and how much a favorable price is offered by a particular service.
Calculating the value of items
You can check the value of your inventory in various ways. The simplest of them is chosen by those who for some reason do not want to make their profile public or connect third-party services. To find out the approximate price of items, the built-in Steam tools will suffice, but you will have to spend a little time.
Go to your profile, open the list of items related to CS:GO and click on each of them in sequence. The item's properties will appear on the right, and at the bottom of them is exactly the price on the Community Marketplace. Write down the cost of all the items and add them up (it is easiest to do this using a spreadsheet in Excel). If you have a couple dozen items – this is a workable option, but if your collection is more extensive, the process will prove too tedious.
Using third-party services
Alternatively – use third-party inventory cost calculators. You will need to make your profile and inventory public so that they can get information about the items you have in your possession. To do this, go to «Privacy settings» in your profile properties and select the appropriate settings there.
Many sites that collect information about skins offer, among other things, cost calculators. For example, on CSGOBackpack you don't even need to log in through your profile Steam – you just need to insert a link to your account to get a calculation of the cost of the inventory and information about the skins it contains. Since the site doesn't require a login, you can similarly view your friends' inventories if they have also made them public.
Other inventory evaluation sites work in a similar way. Popular options include CSGOExchange and SteamTools. The latter, in addition, has other useful tools.
However, it should be taken into account that inventory valuation with the help of such services is not always accurate. For example, it usually doesn't take into account stickers, which greatly affect the value of an item. If you want to sell a rare game item or a skin with a noteworthy combination of stickers – contact Lis-Skins and you will always find a fair price with us.
