Danish cybersport player Christian «k0nfig» Wieneke, who left the Astralis lineup a month ago, has published a post revealing his plans to return to performing on the professional scene. He also gave an interview to Dexerto portal, where he talked more about what has been going on in his life over the past month.
Astralis parted ways with k0nfig shortly after the team failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major. The player did not participate in the team's matches at the European RMR, as he missed the event due to a leg injury. A few days later, k0nfig confirmed that he suffered this injury as a result of a violent conflict with a bar employee in Malta.
Commenting on this situation in his new post, the cyber athlete writes: «Everything I worked hard for disappeared in one day, but I'm ready to get it all back. I'm ready to compete. I'm here to work as a team. I am here for the beauty of the game that we all love and live for… I am sure that I will win new trophies».
In an interview with Dexerto, the player mentioned that Astralis' decision to terminate his contract with him was a surprise. He had hoped to return to the lineup after his recovery, but accepts the decision made by the team's management because he let the others down on the eve of the majors. K0nfig revealed that he has already been in contact with several organizations, but has yet to make a final decision on where he will play now.
