Recently, the indie community of CS:GO players showed an example of how people who are usually competitive with each other can unite in the face of a tragic event. On May 27, it was reported that Sahil «EcheloN» Dultani, a highly accomplished cyber athlete, passed away after a long battle with a chronic illness. The news about it quickly spread on social networks, and almost immediately on his page in Steam not only his friends and acquaintances, but also users who did not know him personally, began to leave messages of condolence. One of his friends said that despite his successes, EcheloN always remained a humble person who treated others with respect.
Soon one of the members of «CS:GO India Community» decided to organize a tournament dedicated to his memory. There will be no participation fees or cash prizes, as the event has primarily a symbolic meaning – to bring together players who want to honor their comrade. Here's how Archit Singh, the organizer of the event, put it: «I told his family that they are not alone in their grief and that the entire community of players is grieving with them. I want us to have a friendly tournament and give him a final farewell, doing what he loved most, what he was best at». The tournament will take place on June 6 and will be streamed on Discord.
