Many CS2 players appreciated the massive update that came out in early October. The most anticipated were the charms—miniature weapon pendants in the form of guns, knives, and figurines depicting agents and other game characters. Today, we'll discuss how to choose CS2 charms, taking into account the type and pattern of these items.
What are CS2 charms and why are they interesting?
Charms in CS2 are fascinating accessories that can be used as pendants anywhere on a weapon, making it more attractive and interesting visually (and you can only install one charm per gun!). Currently, there are 2 collections of such items available — Missing Link and Small Arms.
Obtaining them — at least for now — is not easy: first, you need to purchase an Armory Pass, which costs about $16. This pass gives you access to additional content in the game. You can get and choose CS2 charms only after purchasing. This pass provides access to a menu with new items. Players can buy no more than 5 Armory Passes, which can be leveled up simultaneously.
To purchase the pass, you must have "Prime" status. The purchase option is available in the main menu.
Among the opportunities that the Armory Pass opens to players after its activation are not only charms but also 3 new weapon collections, a weapon case, and stickers. To get these items, you need to start earning credits called Armory Credits. This in-game currency allows you to purchase and choose CS2 charms.
Prices for charms depend on the rarity of items and, additionally, on the pattern, a unique coloring template. The update was surprising in that charms have far more patterns than skins — 100,000 versus 1,000.
Various factors influence the patterns of charms. First of all, color: depending on the range in which the number falls, the color of the pendant will depend. For example, an AK-47 miniature with an index of 12500 will be predominantly yellow, and as the number increases, it will acquire greenish shades until it becomes fully green.
The pattern also depends on the visual effects of the charm (e.g., gloss) and the coloring of individual elements.
From each collection of charms, you can obtain one random item by spending 3 credits. The pendant is contained in a special charm capsule.
The most interesting items in the CS2 charm collections
Missing Link Charms includes miniatures of game agents, which are made in the form of funny sausages, as well as other characters (chicken, hamster, kitten, and others). Let us introduce you to the most interesting and promising items from this collection, in our opinion.
Hot Wurst
Hot Wurst is an extraordinary type of charm. Its patterns change according to the holographic effect: from number 1 to 15000 it is poorer, from 15000 to 100000 it is better.
The most valuable patterns of this skin are 87807 (Liquid Fire) and texture 7632 (default appearance).
The price of this item on trading platforms averages $22. You can choose a CS2 charm with the pattern you are interested in from the catalog. It is well suited as an investment.
Lil' Monster
The "Little Monster" charm has a rarity status of "Exotic," while still being affordable (about $7). The rarest and most interesting patterns are numbers 38 (Red Tongue) and 99205 (Blue-Purple).
Hot Howl
The "Howling Sausage" charm remains one of the most expensive items in the Missing Link Charms collection: its price is $30. The color gradation has 2 levels — lower (from 1 to 15000, predominantly red with many breaks) and higher (from 15000 to 100000, more yellow with few breaks).
Lil' Whiskers
A noteworthy charm type, not the most expensive but interesting and cute. The item is made in the form of a benevolent kitten with a rifle. The average cost of this pendant is $3. More rare patterns cost more — for example, purple (around $13).
Diamond Dog
Diamond Sausage is a sparkling and iridescent charm, whose pattern determines not color but the degree of shine. Depending on the index, it shimmers only partially or completely, without gaps. Less shiny patterns are numbered from 1 to 50000, most sparkling from 50000 to 100000.
The rarest options are under numbers 2807 (Iridescent Texture) and 98880 (White).
The average cost of such a charm is $30. You can choose a CS2 charm now as an investment.
Now let's move on to items from the Small Arms collection with pendants in the form of miniature copies of weapons used in the shooter.
Baby Karat T
This item has extraordinary rarity and is one of the most expensive charms in CS2. Its price today reaches $30. The charm in the form of a neat golden knife, belonging to terrorists in the game, has 2 levels of color gradation. An index from 1 to 50000 makes the body's color bronze, from 50000 to 100000 — gold.
The rarest pattern is number 97660 (Gold).
Baby Karat CT
Like the previous charm, this item, used by special forces, belongs to the most expensive pendants in CS2. At a cost of $26, it remains in demand among shooter players.
Like Baby Karat T, it has a two-level color gradation — bronze (from 1 to 50000) and gold (from 50000 to 100000). The closer the pattern index to 100000, the more golden the color of the knife's body becomes.
The rarest and therefore most sought-after pattern is under index 92432 (Gold). It costs more than $26 but is also a good investment.
Titeenium AWP
A miniature version of the sniper rifle, affectionately called Tiny AWP by players, is designed in a stylish design. Several colors are used for decoration, so the color gradation of the patterns of this item has a full 5 levels.
The rarest and most expensive patterns of this charm are 95546 (Pink-Yellow), 31644 (Green-Pink), 4374 (Yellow).
The price of the item is about $9.
Semi-Precious
The list of the most expensive and promising CS2 charms must include the gem-knife. This pendant has an extended color gradation (8 levels). The color design varies from light green to purple.
A very rare pattern is considered to be index 11285 (Emerald Texture).
