HenryG has announced his departure from Cloud9

Henry «HenryG» Greer has announced that he is leaving cybersports organization Cloud9 after serving as general manager of its CS: GO lineup for eight months. He started working with it in September 2020 and it was under his leadership that a successful lineup of European players was created, including Alex «ALEX» McMeekin, Ozgur «woxic» Ecker and William «mezii» Merryman, among others. However, the team soon ran into problems. The lineup had to be changed after woxic decided to leave and the players could not find an optimal distribution of roles. As a result, Cloud9 was unable to reach a stable level of results.

In addition, the team was unable to meet in North America due to coronavirus restrictions. In the absence of joint training sessions, the players found it difficult to work together, and as a result, the eSports organization decided to disband the CS: GO squad after the team was eliminated from the ESL Pro League Season 13 group stage. Henry Greer said he plans to take a break for a while, but will return to cybersports in the future when the right opportunity presents itself.
