Russian team Trident has announced changes to its lineup. Slovakian cybersport player Ladislav «GuardiaN» Kovacs, who used to play for Natus Vincere and FaZe, will join the roster on a permanent basis. In addition, his former NAVI teammate Denis «seized» Kostin will also return to the lineup. On the other hand, Mikhail «tricky» Kostin will go to the reserve. In recent months, the Slovakian player has hardly played in significant tournaments. Since leaving Natus Vincere in March 2020, Kovacs has appeared in the Dignitas lineup on Flashpoint 1, and has played a total of just two official matches in the last 13 months, according to stats portal HLTV.
Last September, Guardian announced that he was ready to return to professional play, but despite all his assurances about his desire to resume activity on the professional scene, he has been unable to find a team for quite some time. It is currently unclear how long Kovacs will remain in the Trident lineup. Interestingly, he had previously played alongside seized for nearly four years (2013 – 2017) when both cyber athletes were part of the NAVI. New roaster Trident will make their debut at the European Development Championship 4, where they will be competing in the same group as Copenhagen Flames, SKADE and Budapest Five.
