Astralis recently scored a convincing victory at ESL One: Road to Rio, but shortly afterward, fans of the team were treated to some sad news. One of the players, Lucas «gla1ve» Rossander, has decided to temporarily leave the asset. He attributed it to health problems. According to the player, he has been experiencing symptoms of stress and burnout as of late. Therefore, after consulting with a doctor, the twenty-four-year-old cyber athlete decided to take a pause in his professional career. In an official post on the matter, the Astralis said that Lukas' place will be temporarily taken by Jakob «JUGi» Hansen, with whom the team recently signed a contract.
Kasper Hvidt, Astralis Group sporting director, had the following to say about the matter on his blog: «I know that many players find themselves in a situation similar to the one Lucas found himself in. You can say that we should not have delayed this step, but I hope we can avoid similar cases in the future. I'm looking forward to Lucas coming back and being able to be one hundred percent involved with the team, but right now he needs a rest. We support it in every way we can». Gla1ve is expected to be out for about three months. And JUGi is set to make its debut at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, which kicks off May 19.
