American team Evil Geniuses has announced that they have finalized their new roster. His last participant was seventeen-year-old athlete Owen «oBo» Schlatter. He will replace Ethan «Ethan» Arnold, who decided to leave Evil Geniuses for Valorant at the end of February.
Schlatter has been without a team for the past six months after he abruptly left European Complexity in September 2020 and went to his home country, despite the fact that just during this period the team participated in the playoffs of the previous season of the ESL Pro League championship. The player's future plans remained unclear for some time. Initially, oBo expressed his intention to find a new team in America, but later also talked about how he would prefer to stay in Europe for a longer period of time. In the end, he managed to reach an agreement with a team from the United States.
Thus, Evil Geniuses completed the roster formation on the eve of ESL Pro League Season 13. In the group stage, which begins on March 25, the team will face strong opponents, including Astralis, fnatic and Virtus.pro. The players are hoping to break their streak of poor performances and play better than they did at IEM Katowice, where they were eliminated in the group stage, losing to G2 and Astralis.
