American team Liquid has announced that Eric «adreN» Hoag will be its new coach after the cybersports organization's leadership decided to end its partnership with Jason «moses» About’Toole. This is the third time Eric Hoag has returned to Liquid. He played for her in 2015-2016 and then joined her already as a coach at the end of 2018. Over the next eight months, the team took seven significant titles and remained at the top of the world rankings for eighteen weeks.
In mid-2020, Liquid made a number of changes to its roster, including bringing in a new coach, but they failed to achieve similarly significant results. Therefore, the team management has now decided to renew the cooperation with adreN. Now the team is going through another transition period also due to the fact that Gabriel «FalleN» Toledo is to become the in-game leader instead of Jake «Stewie2K» Yip.
Liquid co-leader Victor Goossens characterized the collaboration with adreN as follows: «Very often the value of something you have is only realized after you lose it, and the collaboration with Eric – is exactly the case. His contribution to the team's strategy is incredible. Now that we have our current roster, we feel even stronger and Eric – is exactly the right coach to take us to the next level».
