UK cybersports organization Endpoint has announced that it will work with Republik of Games to create a program for young players to pave the way for them to enter the professional scene. It will be called Endpoint ROG Academy. In addition, two new divisions – will be created, one of which will be responsible for finding new talent and the other – for organizing competitions for players with different levels of training.
Endpoint ROG Academy will be headed by coach George «Whitey» White. As he plans to train aspiring players to bring their skills to the professional level, he expects to utilize his experience as a soccer coach. He hopes to be able to create an environment for up-and-coming cyber athletes to develop productively. White commented on his appointment as follows: «I am looking forward to putting my heart and soul into this project. I will keep you updated and showcase new content every step of the way».
Endpoint will financially support the project and organize team appearances at numerous local LAN events, as well as provide training grounds. There are also plans to feature new players on a regular basis and share information about their progress.
