The CSPPA will change its head

On Friday, the Counter-Strike professional players organization CSPPA announced that its head Mads Oland is stepping down. Who will be his successor is not yet known. Danish Oland will now lead an organization called HK – the largest union organizing salaried workers in Denmark. Oland has led the CSPPA since the organization's inception in 2018. He ran it on a voluntary basis for more than a year, combining this activity with his main job at the Danish Football Players' Association. He has only served on the CSPPA since January 2020, stepping down from his previous position.

Oland explained that although he is officially stepping down from CSPPA leadership, he will continue to be involved with the organization, serving as an advisor for the newly created player council along with another notable community member Scott «Scissors» Smith. In a statement on Oland's departure from his leadership position, the CSPPA said it valued his contributions to the cybersports community.

The CSPPA's first general assembly of its kind wrapped up this week. At it, a new players' council was elected: along with cybersportsmen who have been involved in its activities since its inception, there were a few new members.
