Denmark's Copenhagen Flames claimed victory in the CCT Central Europe Series 3 tournament with a win over ex-Finest in the grand final. This is the second CCT Series win for the team in recent months, having won the CCT South Europe Series 1 at the end of October.
A total of 24 teams took part in the tournament, but the Danes started their journey right from the playoffs, as they entered the tournament by direct invitation. The team had consecutive wins over 9INE, HAVU, and K23 before facing ex-Finest. For the latter, the defeat in the grand final came as an unpleasant surprise, as the team, which is now playing without any organization support, had not lost a single map during the entire playoffs.
It took three maps to determine the winner, and it was a hard-fought battle: Copenhagen Flames won Vertigo by a significant margin, while Dust2 was almost evenly matched, and ex-Finest was able to take the map in overtime. The outcome of the match was decided on Inferno, which the Danes won with a score of 13 – 16.
Thus, Copenhagen Flames became the owner of the main prize of $ 22000. Ex-Finest took the second place, and the third and fourth places were shared by Russian K23 and European Endpoint.
