Cooper revealed why he didn't leave for Valorant

American player Austin «Cooper» Abadir recently gave an interview to HLTV in which he talked about his performances over the past six months and his future plans. 2020 has been a pretty eventful year for the player. In the spring, he became one of the members of the revitalized Swole Patrol tag. As part of this team, he took part in several competitions, but it was not possible to reach an agreement with any of the cyber sports organizations. Austin attributes this to the coronavirus pandemic: with unpredictable changes, organizations are reluctant to contract new teams.

In addition, shortly after Valorant was released, many of Austin's fellow Swole Patrol members decided to jump into the game to try their hand at it. Cooper admits that he himself considered such a possibility, but after playing Valorant for about a week, he realized that he would not be able to enjoy it as much as Counter Strike. He emphasized that he wants to continue to achieve his goals in CS:GO, because here he likes not only the competitive moments, but also the gameplay in general.

Therefore, the twenty-six-year-old player started looking for a place in one of the existing teams, but the attempts were not successful. As a result, he teamed up with two former Swole Patrol players and a few other athletes under the Ze Pug Godz tag. Although the players' plans weren't too serious initially, they managed to qualify for DreamHack Open Summer this summer and also won Mythic Summer Series Cup 1. Now Ze Pugs King expects that if they perform successfully at DreamHack, they will attract the attention of some cybersports organization that doesn't have a CS:GO team and will be able to sign a promising contract.
