Brazilian cybersports organization Case has sent its entire current CS:GO roster to the reserves. The decision was announced on the eve of the RTP Arena Cup 2021 tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the Iberian BLAST Premier and was scheduled to take place July 9 – 11.
Case's current Counter Strike squad was recruited in October 2020, when Real Madrid midfielder Enrique Casemiro decided to launch his cybersport project. The original goal of the team was to accelerate the development of the professional scene in Spain and to break into international tournaments, but Case mostly lost to other teams in the region and was overshadowed by the likes of Movistar Riders and SAW.
Case made several appearances in the Snow Sweet Snow and Spring Sweet Spring regional qualifiers, but only managed to qualify for the main event once, and quickly dropped out after finishing in one of the last places. Her highest achievement was a world ranking of 66, but she is now outside the top 100.
Case announced that news of the new roster will be expected in the coming weeks and her management team is currently busy recruiting players.
