Latin American eSports organization FiReSPORTS has announced a partnership with BLAST to create a new league that will launch in early fall. The league for teams from Latin America will be called FiRe League and its prize pool will be $141,000. In addition to this reward, participants will be competing for a spot in the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 tournament, which is set to take place in November.
The FiRe League will start in mid-September. At least 24 teams, divided into three regions, are scheduled to participate. At mid-season, the top teams in their respective regions and one other team with the most fan votes will play each other for the right to compete in the BLAST Premier Showdown.
BLAST CEO Robbie Dowack had the following to say about it: «There is a large and active CS:GO community in Latin America, and we are really excited to team up with FiReSPORTS to offer the best team a chance to compete in this year's BLAST Premier fall tournament. We look forward to seeing the region's best teams battle it out and will be happy to welcome the winner to test their mettle on the world stage».
