Tournament organizer BLAST has released the schedule for qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown. Teams from eight regions will have a chance to earn the right to participate in the competition, which will be held in October. The winner of each of the regional qualifiers will be eligible for a $25,000 payout. BLAST explains that this amount should not be called a prize, but a kind of financial support for the players – . The teams selected for the final stage will be able to invest this amount in those aspects of their activities that they feel are important for their development and will help them get a high result.
The qualifying tournaments will include such events as Nordic Masters, Latin Power and Fantasyexpo Cup. New events include – separate qualifiers for Eastern Europe and a Chinese tournament organized by the Douyu streaming service. All regional competitions will take place between July and September. Each will be a three-day tournament featuring eight teams.
Only the top one team from each region will advance to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, which will be held October 12-17. This tournament will pit the eight teams that win regional qualifiers against eight teams invited by BLAST to compete for two spots at the Fall Finals.
