In early August, Virtus.pro announced that it was ending its partnership with Dauren «AdreN» Kystaubayev. Kazakh player leaves the team for the second time. He once played eight months for her in 2012-2013, and then returned in 2019 for about the same amount of time. During this period, he did not perform too well: most of the 2020 championships Virtus.pro finished at the bottom of the standings. She performed best on WePlay! Clutch Island, reaching the third place.
Already in March 2020 the team management considered changing the roster, but in the end the roster was reorganized in a different way: Timur «buster» Tulepov left the team and was replaced by Latvian cyber athlete Marek «YEKINDAR» Galinskis. For now, Tulepov remains inactivated and the prospects for his return remain unclear. The break in participation in competitions buster explained fatigue due to high loads.
There is not much time left before the start of the new season, but it remains unclear who will be the fifth player of the team. In the announcement of AdreN's departure, Virtus.pro representatives did not mention any further plans. The team will probably take a pause to think about a new strategy.
