100 Thieves has decided to disband its CS GO roster

American cybersports organization 100 Thieves has confirmed its plans to disband its CS:GO roster. 100 Thieves founder and leader Matthew «Nadeshot» Haag tweeted a video outlining the reasons behind the decision. In particular, he pointed to the fact that there is a lot of ambiguity, ambiguity and uncertainty in the world of professional CS:GO right now. 

In addition, because of the coronavirus pandemic, most of the major competitions are held in Europe, and participation in them becomes difficult for the organization headquartered in Los Angeles: «We discussed with the players what solutions we can offer, because they put all their efforts into the competitions. They made every effort to produce the results we were striving for. Unfortunately, we don't quite have the resources. Even if we try to change the roster, we still run into obstacles. The way qualifying matches and scoring for the majors are set up now means that any roster changes jeopardize the very opportunity to compete».

 Matthew emphasized that 100 Thieves didn't want the team to shut down career development opportunities for players. At the same time, he doesn't rule out the cybersports organization returning to CS:GO with a new roster if things change.
